C-R equations in polar form

Cauchy-Riemann Equations in Polar Form

x = r cos θ, y = r sin θ and u is a function x and y.
z = x + iy = r(cos θ + i sin θ) = r e
u + iv = f(z) = f(re)

  1. ∂u/∂r = (1/r)(∂v/∂θ)
  2. ∂u/∂θ = -r ∂v/∂r
